Beauty Through My Lens
You have a question...
-
When do I book?I suggest booking 1-2 months from the time you would like to have your final product(s) in hand. This allows us enough time to be flexible with scheduling, post-processing, editing, our in-person ordering appointment, design and receival of final product(s). If you need your session and final product prior to the above suggested time, please reach out and we will work it out!
-
RetouchingI have a style to my editing, I prefer matte finishes or high contrast. Therefore, your photos will fall within this editing style. Retouching regarding blemishes, smoothing of skin, skin tones, etc. are included within my standard editing. I offer advanced retouching that is $50 per photo. This will include breast enhancement, breast reduction, thinning of specific areas, excessive scar removal, etc. I believe in making you look like you, just on your best day. However, I am more than happy to cater to my clients requests.
-
Session locationYour session can take place wherever you are most comfortable. I have my own space for sultry boudoir sessions, but I am happy to travel to your home or a place you have in mind - woodsy/nature? beach? bathtub? I'm all in! I travel within 15 miles free of charge, please contact me for locations outside of 15 miles.
-
Can I bring a friend?Of course! I do kindly ask that it is only "one" additional person. I will be here, there and everywhere, hanging upside down, swinging from the chandelier (kidding), but really, I will be all over the place making sure I am getting the best shots possible, too many people and I find myself tripping and constantly saying, "excuse me!"
-
I am not sure how nude I want to be...Not a problem! Boudoir does not mean "nudity", you can be fully covered without any nudity. During your session, if you feel that you're more comfortable than you had thought you would be (high chance it will happen!), then girl, take it off and embrace the confidence you're feeling! However, there is absolutely no pressure... this is YOUR shoot and it will flow how YOU want it!
-
Will my photos be posted publicly?Unless you give me permission... NO! I ONLY share images once I am given written and verbal permission. I understand how intimate Boudoir can be and I respect you as my client as well as your privacy. I only share what you're comfortable with!
-
Have you worked with plus size women?Of course - all shapes and sizes are welcomed! I have experience in posing all shapes and sizes to compliment your body.
-
Is hair & makeup a requirement? It is NOT mandatory! I just like to make it available to clients who would like to take advantage of it!
-
Where should I purchase lingerie?I have plenty of freshly laundered lingerie pieces that you are welcome to view and use during your session. If you are interested in bringing your own pieces, bring as much as you'd like! I can't promise we will get through them all, but options are always a plus. Bring your significant other's favorite shirt, jersey, work shirt, uniform, etc. Bring that little tank top that you feel like a Goddess in, it's all about what YOU want to wear in YOUR photos! I purchase lingerie from: VS, Amazon, Target, etc. (especially on Amazon, make sure you review the description for accurate sizing)
-
Who will do my hair & makeup?I partner with makeup artist and hairstylist Cindy Carr - owner of I Do Makeup Artistry. However, if she is unavailable, I have local makeup artist and hairstylist contact information that I can forward to you. Hair and Makeup add on service: $75.00
-
Can I bring wine?Bring whatever will make you loosen up! If we need to, Uber is just a text away ;)
-
How should I do my hair & makeup?Once you book your session, we will discuss the overall "look" you would like to have. What would you like to portray? Girl next door? Mommy after hours? - this will help me in giving makeup and hair suggestions. Girl next door, you will want very loose curls or hair straight pinned up just a little - natural light makeup. Mommy after hours, curly wild hair, straight "messy" hair, all pinned up, smokey eye, dark lipstick, etc.
-
How do I prepare? You and I will have lots of discussions - nothing too far serious, but it is very important to me that you feel comfortable with me before your session. I also send out a Boudoir Questionairre. I am happy to answer any and all questions, serious or silly, conservative or vulgar, embarrassing, etc. We will discuss what final products you have in mind (custom USB, photo album, prints, wallet accordion, etc.) so I can cater your photos slightly to that. Depending on your chosen location we will discuss the areas we will utilize, props we can use, things I have or can bring. If I am traveling to you, I will let you know the type of lighting I will need, but I will arrive about 15 minutes prior to your session so I can set up the area(s). 24-48 hrs. prior to your day I will email you a prep guide. It includes confirmation of date and time, location, overall look of the session, what you are comfortable with, shots you *have* to have, how to prepare your hair, skin, etc., what to bring, what to leave behind and more!
I have an answer.
